This custom-sized 9-ply Beech shell is handsomely outfitted in a semi-gloss Scandinavian Birch finish ply with center Bubinga inlay, and carefully cut bearing edges that optimize head-shell response. Two adjustable dampeners — one with traditional sheep's wool, the other with cymbal felt — unlock a past–meets-present look and tone making this one of our go-to snare drums. This drum sounds every bit as good as it looks - incredible engineering from Sonor.

Also included are 30 individual velocity samples with 5 different velocities containing 3 round robins each: one set of 15 files for All Mics, and one set of 15 for only Room Mics (excludes the close mics 1-5 below). This allows you to easily create MIDI files and/or trigger replacements.  You can also use the Room Mic-only velocity files for layering or creating a unique sound enhanced by our incredible drum tracking room.
