This North American maple drum is ddrum’s flagship and was built on December 12th, 2017 for its 2018 debut. From their 2018 Catalog: “Our most premium maple snare drum. This 8 ply 8 mm thick drum comes fitted with die cast hoops and full-shell bullet tube lugs. The maple shell combined with the thicker design provides superior cut, while retaining all the woody overtones you love in a maple shell.” The multi- layer lacquer finish adds to the thickness of the shell and helps it produce its unique tone.

Also included are 30 individual velocity samples with 5 different velocities containing 3 round robins each: one set of 15 files for All Mics, and one set of 15 for only Room Mics (excludes the close mics 1-5 below). This allows you to easily create MIDI files and/or trigger replacements.  You can also use the Room Mic-only velocity files for layering or creating a unique sound enhanced by our incredible drum tracking room.
