Steam-Bent Drum - Serial #1

This beautiful drum was hand-crafted by master builder Gary Posey in Barberton, Ohio and is the first drum ever made in Summit’s flagship Pinnacle line. Featuring 1/4” solid steam-bent Figured Maple in a hand-rubbed bee’s wax finish, this drum sounds as good as it looks. It also has 1/4” solid hard maple reinforcing rings that give it that vintage tone, but the modern hardware provides plenty of attack and definition. Truly one-of-a-kind, the deep tone this drum provides is among our favorites.

Also included are 30 individual velocity samples with 5 different velocities containing 3 round robins each: one set of 15 files for All Mics, and one set of 15 for only Room Mics (excludes the close mics 1-5 below). This allows you to easily create MIDI files and/or trigger replacements.  You can also use the Room Mic-only velocity files for layering or creating a unique sound enhanced by our incredible drum tracking room.
