2021 Tama Starphonic Reserve Copper Samples
Tama’s Incredible Copper Snare …
This incredibly engineered snare drum features a hand-crafted 1.2mm copper shell brushed with a gorgeous satin finish. This unique shell design delivers rich, raw, dry, dark tone in its center that is at once articulate and throaty, while the outer edge is higher-pitched. Featuring Tama’s top-of-the-line Freedom Lug and Claw Hook system combined with Tama’s grooved die-cast hoops, and their linear-motion snare strainer, this drum not only looks great, but sounds incredible. We can’t decide if we like Tama’s copper over the Gretsch Bell Brass - our perennial favorite metal snare … it’s a very close toss-up.
