A collaboration between Gretsch and Mike Johnston, this drum blends the classic 6-ply maple/poplar Brooklyn wood shell formulation with some high-performance add-ons like heavy-duty engraved Gretsch 302 Hoops (3.0mm double-flanged) sitting on double 45° bearing edges for optimized head and shell interaction. Plus, the 42-strand snare wires give the Brooklyn Standard a fat attack and incredible response. Warm presence and great tone.

Also included are 30 individual velocity samples with 5 different velocities containing 3 round robins each: one set of 15 files for All Mics, and one set of 15 for only Room Mics (excludes the close mics 1-5 below). This allows you to easily create MIDI files and/or trigger replacements.  You can also use the Room Mic-only velocity files for layering or creating a unique sound enhanced by our incredible drum tracking room.
