Launched in 1973, Pearl’s Crystal Beat Acrylic drums feature a 7mm molded, seamless Acrylic shell. This uniquely dense shell lends itself well to a straight shooting, no overtone punch. However, combining it with the Free-Floating chassis is where the Crystal Beat snare really shines. With no holes or hardware touching the shell, it is free to speak with its intended voice without being encumbered by shell stress or stability resulting in a loud and immediate attack.

Also included are 30 individual velocity samples with 5 different velocities containing 3 round robins each: one set of 15 files for All Mics, and one set of 15 for only Room Mics (excludes the close mics 1-5 below). This allows you to easily create MIDI files and/or trigger replacements.  You can also use the Room Mic-only velocity files for layering or creating a unique sound enhanced by our incredible drum tracking room.
