Vintage African Mahogany ...
This premium drum was made of solid steam-bent mahogany with Knobby Gold hardware and hand- etched rims - Leedy called this the “Full Dress” finish. In their 1933 Catalog: “Leedy is now presenting a still more beautiful grain of mahogany, selected from the highest quality logs brought into the United States from Africa. Skilled workmen employ seven operations in the finishing to bring out and emphasize the warm, blending shades of brown so wonderfully arranged by nature.” One of the greatest snares we’ve ever had the pleasure of recording.
